Just yesterday, Rob Neyer wrote that Jonathan Broxton would not return to the Dodgers in 2012, quoting Broxton's agent; the agent, quaintly named "BB Abbott", claimed that Broxton had "multiple suitors" and would likely be signed "in the next few days".
Today, we learn from Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal who one of those suitors was, and according to Rosenthal, they are more than a "suitor":

There are no terms revealed here, and given Broxton's injury history, it's conceivable that he might fail a physical and this deal could fall apart. On the other hand, it's not likely that this would get as far as a tweet from a national writer unless it were actually going to happen.
It does, as Rosenthal says, create choices for the Royals; they could make Broxton a setup man for Joakim Soria, trade Soria and make Broxton the closer, or move Soria into the rotation (although Soria has not started a game since he played in the Mexican League in 2005).
According to a tweet from SI's Jon Heyman, Broxton will make $4 million, and become the Royals' setup man.
