Owing to a promotion the Braves'll be conducting as part of their Civil Rights Game Weekend, I've just learned that there was a Negro League team known as the Atlanta Black Crackers.
Though there's very likely an entirely nuanced and reasonable explanation for a Negro League team calling itself the Black Crackers, it's the multiple fake explanations which are causing me to chuckle audibly.
