Thursday night, Sean Burroughs made his first major-league plate appearance in more than five years, pinch-hitting in the sixth inning. He couldn’t quite reach first base quickly enough for an RBI (infield) single. But after five years in the cold, that sprint down the line must still have felt pretty damn good.
