Despite losing two out of three games to the Braves, including Sunday night, the Phillies still have the best record (22-11) in the National League, and most observers would certainly choose the Phils when asked to name the best team in the National League.
Are they really the best, though? At the moment, there seem to be at least two other solid candidates -- both of whom were expected, before the season, to compete for postseason berths -- in the Cardinals and the Braves.
In fact, the Phillies' run differential (+36) is just third-best in the league ... behind those Cardinals (+44) and Braves (+43).
So who's really the best team in the National League?
