At this exact moment (sometime before Wednesday dawn) there are no fewer than five American League teams that are within two games of .500. Which means while they can't exactly jump for joy, neither should they start making non-baseball plans for this October. They could go either way, either a little or a lot.
The trick is figuring out which will do what.
Personally, I've got no idea. They all look pretty much the same to me. But the Wisdom of the Crowd can probably figure this thing out. So please help me out and vote and (as usual) showing your work in the comments means extra Bonus Fun Points ...
