Wandy Rodriguez Returns, Jordan Lyles Stays

Two weeks ago, Houston Astros ace Wandy Rodriguez went on the DL with fluid in his left elbow, which sounded sort of disgusting but apparently isn't all that serious, as Rodriguez is ready to pitch again, already. Before going on the DL, Rodriguez posted a 3.41 ERA, which made him one of the few bright spots on a team that's now 24-42.

Another bright spot has been rookie Jordan Lyles, the Astros' No. 1 prospect entering this season. Lyles was summoned from the minors to replace Rodriguez, and after two pretty good starts and one poor one, Lyles is going to remain in the rotation for the moment, with Aneury Rodriguez (0-4, 5.96) returning to the relief duties from whence he came.

As poorly as the Astros have played, with Wandy back in action, the Astros actually have the makings of a decent rotation with him, Lyles, and Bud Norris all pitching regularly. And there's no obvious reason Brett Myers and/or J.A. Happ can't be decent again, too.
