There are two national TV games today, both involving contending teams. Even the Mets are still hanging around the wild-card race. All times Eastern.
↵↵1 p.m., TBS, MyPhi17, WPIX: Phillies at Mets. Kyle Kendrick pitches against Mike Pelfrey in the rubber game of this series.
↵↵1 p.m., WGN, FSN Detroit: White Sox at Tigers. It is now only six games from first to fourth in the AL Central. Don't count anyone out of this race.
↵↵1:30 p.m., MASN, FSN South: Nationals at Braves. If the Nats win this game, they would trail Atlanta in the wild-card race by seven games. Just sayin'.
↵↵4 p.m., FSN Southwest, ROOT Sports Seattle: Rangers at Mariners. Texas is going for its 11th straight win; Matt Harrison pitches against Blake Beavan.
↵↵8 p.m., ESPN: Red Sox at Rays. The Rays send Jeff Niemann to face the Red Sox' Josh Beckett in tonight's Sunday Night Baseball matchup.
