Day games in Cleveland don't always get a lot of attention, and there isn't a very large crowd at Progressive Field for the Angels vs. Indians contest.
This game may soon get quite a bit more attention. The Angels' Ervin Santana has a no-hitter through seven innings against the Indians.
The catch here is that the Tribe has a run -- scored in the first inning off Santana. Ezequiel Carrera led off the game and reached on a throwing error by Erick Aybar. He stole second and went to third on a groundout, and then scored on a wild pitch. The Indians kept that 1-0 lead until the fifth, when Peter Bourjos tripled and was doubled in by Maicer Izturis.
The Angels took the lead in the sixth inning, when Torii Hunter doubled and was singled in by Howard Kendrick.
Santana has also retired Carlos Santana to begin the eighth inning, so there are only five outs to go before he's in the history books. He's walked one -- Lonnie Chisenhall with one out in the eighth -- and struck out seven. Stay with this StoryStream for more information.
