While the national broadcasts were still obsessing about the Cubs and Cardinals these past few weeks, the Brewers ran away with the division. And they might be better than you think. They're third in the league in Quality Starts, their bullpen is solid, and they have the best offense among playoff-bound teams in the National League. Even their defense, which was supposed to be execrable, is not that bad. Sure, they have no depth, but who cares about depth in October?
They're not as scary as the Phillies, but they're built to win riiiight... NOW.*
* And then maybe never again until the next Olympics. No, the one after that. But still.
