Ozzie Guillen has left the Chicago White Sox after eight seasons at the helm. The outspoken (and controversial) Venezuelan has been heavily rumored to be managing the Florida Marlins next season as Jack McKeon steps down after this season.

As for other potential managerial vacancies, here are some likely openings for the 2012 season.

Florida Marlins: It hasn't been made official yet but all signs point to Guillen managing the Marlins in 2012.

Chicago Cubs: Mike Quade was never a popular choice to begin with and now that GM Jim Hendry was dismissed, Quade could soon join Hendry out the door. Legendary Cubs 2nd baseman Ryne Sandberg is rumored to be in line to succeed Quade.

Houston Astros: Brad Mills is expected to be axed following a dismal 2011 season.

St Louis Cardinals: It has been widely rumored that the 57-year old Tony LaRussa may be returning to his former stomping grounds in Chicago's South Side.

San Diego Padres: The Padres' disappointing 2011 campaign may result in Bud Black losing his job.

Baltimore Orioles: Another disappointing season may prompt Buck Showalter to call it a career.

Boston Red Sox: This is an interesting situation as the Red Sox's September swoon has Terry Francona calling about his job status. Keep in mind, this is Franc's final year of his contract.

Chicago White Sox: See my take on Ozzie Guillen in the beginning of this article.

Minnesota Twins: I expect to see Ron Gardenshire call it quits after his team suffered a lackluster season.

Oakland Athletics: This could go either way as Bob Melvin did a good (but not great) job since taking over for the fired Bob Geren last June. But then again, Melvin has had some relationship issues with ne-er-do-well GM Billy Beane.

Seattle Mariners: Eric Wedge's season hinges on the status of GM Jack Zduriencik. Despite getting an extension last month, the Mariners have been struggling which may mean curtains for Zduriencik and/or Wedge.
