The 2011 ALDS gets underway on Friday, Sept. 30. The Rays and Rangers kickoff the action, with the Yankees and Tigers capping the night.
After a wild night of baseball, the 2011 ALDS schedule is finally set. The Tampa Bay Rays locked up the final AL playoff berth -- the Wild Card -- with an 8-7 win over the Yankees just moments after the Baltimore Orioles' 4-3 win over the Boston Red Sox. With the Wild Card set, the matchups for the ALDS were firmed up and the schedule was released.
The Detroit Tigers face the New York Yankees in the ALDS. Game 1 is set for Friday, Sept. 30 and will be televised on TBS.
