Why We'll Miss Craig Counsell

Stay connected for news and updates

Craig Counsell will be remembered for several things: being 2001 NLCS MVP, looking 16, helping Jose Mesa become the first pitcher in baseball history to blow a save in the bottom of the ninth inning of a World Series Game 7. And yes, going 0-for-45 last season.

But most of all, Counsell's batting stance was a work of art. He would often discard that art for a new piece, and after the jump we'll break down his effectiveness with each stance.
