The Washington Nationals posted the best record in baseball this year, but they head into Thursday's Game 4 with the St. Louis Cardinals just one loss away from an underwhelming early exit from the playoffs. The Nationals will send Ross Detwiler to the mound in the hopes of keeping their season alive, while the Cardinals counter with Kyle Lohse. Lohse earned the win in the Cardinals' wild card game with the Atlanta Braves, pitching 5⅔ innings while striking out six.
