David Freese and Carlos Beltran continued their torrid October hitting Sunday evening, each launching two-run home runs to give the St. Louis Cardinals a 6-4 victory over the Giants in Game 1 of the NLCS. The Cardinals pair may have had their struggles at times in the regular season, but they both have once again picked up their play in the playoffs.

The Cardinals will send right-hander Chris Carpenter to the mound Monday night to take on the Giants in Game 2. Game time is set for 8 p.m. ET; the contest will be aired on FOX.
