The D-backs have reportedly added two big names to their broadcast booth.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have hired Steve Berthiaume and Bob Brenly as their newest TV broadcasters, according to a report from Tim Ring of KTVK. Berthiaume has spent the last few years as the lead anchor on ESPN's Baseball Tonight, while Brenly most recently served as the Cubs analyst on WGN broadcasts.

The need for new announcers in Arizona arose following tumultuous years for Daron Sutton and Mark Grace. Sutton was suspended in late June for insubordination and did not return to FOX Sports Net Arizona. Grace was arrested for DUI for the second time in August and left the booth immediately.

Long-time radio announcer Greg Schulte became the play-by-play man for the final few months of the season in Sutton's absence. Various members of the organization filled in as analysts once Grace departed.

The Diamondbacks are yet to officially announce the hirings, but if the report holds true, then it appears the club has found their broadcasting duo for the foreseeable future. The team has an exclusive contract with FSN Arizona to broadcast all games during the season.
