The Baltimore Orioles will look to continue their stunning 2012 season in the ALDS against the New York Yankees.

Following a win over the Texas Rangers, the Baltimore Orioles went home to Camden Yards, where they will host the New York Yankees for Games 1 and 2 of the ALDS.

The AL East rivals split their 18-game regular season series, though the Orioles won six out of ten meetings in the second half.

Game 1 (Sunday, Oct. 7) will start at 6:15 p.m. ET. The Yankees will send CC Sabathia to the hill. In his last two seasons, Sabathia has struggled in the playoffs. For his career, the lefty owns a 4.81 playoff ERA. This year, Sabathia did not fare well against the Orioles, with an 0-2 record and 6.38 ERA in three starts.

For the Orioles, manager Buck Showalter is expected to announce a starter on Saturday evening. He will likely pick between Jason Hammel, Wei-Yin Chen and Miguel Gonzalez. Of the three, only Hammel has any postseason experience.

Few could have predicted that the Orioles would be in the playoffs this season. Prior to this year, they had finished in last place in the AL East in every season since 2008. But under first-year manager Buck Showalter, the club has turned its fortunes around, and will now look to knock off the Yankees.

The full series schedule looks like this:

Game 1 - Sunday, Oct. 7 at Baltimore, 6:15 p.m. ET
Game 2 - Monday, Oct. 8 at Baltimore, 8:07 p.m. ET
Game 3 - Wednesday, Oct. 10 at New York
Game 4 (if necessary) - Thursday, Oct. 11 at New York
Game 5 (if necessary) - Friday, Oct. 12 at New York
