Doug Fister and the Detroit Tigers square off with Tommy Millone and the Oakland Athletics at Comerica Park in Game 2 of the ALDS.
The Detroit Tigers take a 1-0 series lead into Comerica Park on Sunday afternoon as they face off with the Oakland Athletics in Game 2 of the ALDS.
Doug Fister takes the mound for the Tigers, looking to continue the pitching dominance exhibited by Justin Verlander in Game 1. Fister was 10-10 with a 3.45 ERA in the regular season. In his only regular season meeting with the Athletics on May 12, Fister allowed only one run in six innings of work, but picked up the loss.
For the Athletics, Tommy Millone gets the start looking to even this series at one game apiece heading back to Oakland. Millone was 13-10 with a 3.74 ERA in the regular season. He squared off with Detroit last on Sept. 20, allowing three runs in 4⅔ innings and picking up the no-decision.
The Athletics look to find a way back on the scoreboard, as they were unable to do so in Game 1 following a lead-off Coco Crisp home run.
