The Giants stumbled in Game 1 and will look to bounce back as the Reds try to take a 2-0 lead heading back home
The San Francisco Giants and the Cincinnati Reds will continue their National League Division Series at AT&T Park on Sunday at 9:37 pm ET.
The Reds struck first in Game 1 with a 5-2 win, able to get Giants ace Matt Cain off the mound after he surrendered three runs in just five innings. The Reds ended Cain's streak of 23⅓ innings pitched in the postseason without giving up a run.
The Reds didn't do it the easy way as ace Johnny Cueto left the game after only eight pitches, and the bullpen had to pitch the rest of the way.
Now, the Reds will look to take a commanding 2-0 lead heading back to Cincinnati, while the Giants will look to even up the series at a game apiece before looking to do what the Reds did to them by stealing one on the road.
The Reds will give the ball to Bronson Arroyo and the Giants will hand the ball to Madison Bumgarner.
Arroyo has never won a postseason game and has never won a game in San Francisco. Arroyo was 12-10 with a 3.74 ERA during the regular season.
Bumgarner was 2-0 with a 2.18 ERA as a rookie during the Giants' 2010 championship run and comes into Game 2 after posting a 16-11 record with a 3.37 ERA during the regular season.
