Over at Reddit, a user asked what the target="new">fastest pitch thrown by a position player was. Well, say, that's a heckuva question, and someone actually went through the Brooks Baseball logs to look through the last few seasons at least.
The slowest: Joe Inglett, 55.6 m.p.h. (!).
The fastest: Drew Butera, 94.4 m.p.h.
Here's Inglett, who was throwing a knuckleball:
