The people who dismiss sabermetrics out of hand remind of the cranks of the early 20th Century who would yell "get a horse" whenever they saw somebody having car trouble. Except here's the difference: If the sabermetric revolution were to be transposed onto the timeline of the automobile, it's now something like 1935 - and the percentage of people who thought the horse was a better choice than the auto by 1935 had dwindled to percentage points of percentage points of the population.
