Well, no matter. For about $30k, you can get in on the ground floor of this exciting collecting field with this tobacco card featuring Hall of Famer Buck Ewing.
The Players League New York franchise -- for which Ewing was catcher -- was called the Giants, just like the team in the National League. Based on that, can we assume that copyright laws were less stringent in the late 19th Century than they are today?
