Caveat Venditor

MLB umpire Ed Hickox is suing Wilson Sporting Goods for a lot of money. Because his protective mask didn't protect him well enough. For the second time.

The first time, Wilson wound up paying Hickox $775,000. When they handed him the check, why didn't Wilson make him agree to switch to their competitor's equipment?

I'm kidding, sort of. This is actually an interesting case, and worth more than this snarky little post because if Hickox wins again, there could be a lot more lawsuits. Especially if umpires are chronically concussed.
