I've already been asked for my World Series predictions ten times already. Some of the people asking weren't even my mom. But it's a tricky question. After Adam Wainwright was injured last year, I didn't even think the Cardinals were going to make the playoffs. The year before that, the Giants won the World Series with a lineup that featured several players who weren't even on the roster in April.
World Series predictions in April are inherently silly. But fun! My picks:
National League Champions
Either the Diamondbacks, Giants, Rockies, Padres, Dodgers, Reds, Brewers, Cardinals, Braves, Phillies, Nationals, or Marlins.
American League Champions
Either the Angels, Rangers, Tigers, White Sox, Indians, Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, or Blue Jays.
World Series Champions
One of the Diamondbacks, Giants, Rockies, Padres, Dodgers, Reds, Brewers, Cardinals, Braves, Phillies, Nationals, Marlins, Angels, Rangers, Tigers, White Sox, Indians, Red Sox, Yankees, Rays, or Blue Jays.
The winner will be the team that can make the playoffs and win at least 11 of 19 games in October. You read it here first. Impress your friends! Be a hit at parties! Make your fortune by gambling based off of this information!
But maybe you'd feel more comfortable with this prediction if you could see my beautiful face speaking it aloud. That's understandable. So understandable. This is just for you, then:
