A's vs. Rangers, bottom six, 3-3 game. Brandon McCarthy pitching to Elvis Andrus with runners on the corners and one out. Andrus pops up a bunt, and McCarthy dives.
Home-plate umpire Laz Diaz said that the ball hit the ground, and Andrus was given an RBI single. McCarthy immediately argued. Bob Melvin argued and got ejected. Diaz never asked any other umpires for help. This was Diaz's angle, incidentally:
