The Padres are having a rough time this season; they've got a terrible record and have lost one starting pitcher to injury. Now they might lose their closer, as well.

The San Diego Padres aren't having a very good season. They're mired in last place in the NL West with the league's worst record and recently sent starter Cory Luebke to the DL with elbow issues that could require surgery.

Friday night, closer Huston Street left the Padres' game with the Marlins with a possible shoulder injury. Scott Miller:

Closer Huston Street suffered a right posterior shoulder strain and is expected to land on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday. Though he was encouraged because the pain is more in his lat than in his shoulder, Street will undergo an MRI exam on Saturday and the Padres will go from there.

Street was working the 10th inning of an 8-8 game and was facing his third hitter when he motioned to the dugout after throwing ball four to Logan Morrison.

Street is off to a good start and, with the Padres not going anywhere this year, could have been traded come July. Now it's all on hold until the MRI.
