Aubrey Huff was excited for Matt Cain after the perfect game on Wednesday. He was a little too excited.
Aubrey Huff is having an exceptionally strange season. After playing second base and making a game-costing mental lapse, the San Francisco Giants first baseman left the team with an anxiety disorder. When he returned, his playing time dwindled to almost nothing.
But by all accounts, he's still a good teammate, and he's very popular in the clubhouse. So it's no surprise that he was thrilled for Matt Cain after his perfect game last night. In his exuberance, though, he kind of ate it:
Aw, heck, let's see what the eye in the sky has to say about this.
Man fall down and go boom! It's funny! That is, until you read this:
Huff bruised knee while tripping over dugout rail in celebration. Is having MRI, possibly headed to disabled list.

Oh, man. That's not funny at all. Aubrey Huff is just snakebit right now, the poor guy.
If Huff were to go on the DL, the Giants would almost certainly recall right-handed first baseman Brett Pill to take his place.
