Brandon Beachy left his start Saturday due to elbow soreness.
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher, and MLB ERA leader, Brandon Beachy left Saturday's game with elbow soreness.
Beachy started the game against Baltimore and was pitching well, before he was pulled during the fourth inning because of soreness in his right elbow. This comes a week after Beachy complained of slight discomfort near his right elbow following his last start on June 8.
Beachy's Saturday start was on seven days rest, after Atlanta pushed him back in the rotation due to the earlier soreness. He has started 13 games for the Braves this season, posting a 2.00 ERA with 68 strikeouts in 81 innings pitched. His 2.00 ERA is the best in the majors among qualified pitchers.
He lasted 3.2 innings Saturday before leaving the game. He allowed one run, but didn't surrender a hit while striking out five.
