Colby Lewis hit the disabled list for the Texas Rangers with forearm tendinitis.
The Texas Rangers are already down two starting pitchers from the rotation with which they began the season, and one of the injury replacements subsequently got injured. It's a good thing they had a lot of rotation depth, but even they're getting stretched thin. Colby Lewis is the third starting pitcher to go down to injury for the Rangers:

Just when they think Feldman is out ... they keep pulling him back in. He'll start for Lewis on Thursday.
A related roster move to this is that the Rangers' top pitching prospect, Martin Perez, was called up. Feldman could be a temporary replacement for Lewis, and Jeff Wilson suggests that Perez could start on Saturday.
The 21-year-old Perez has the prospect pedigree, but he was struggling a bit in AAA, with a 4.59 ERA and a 49/38 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 84 innings.
