Derek Holland has been going through a rough stretch of pitching. He's also been going through a rough stretch of digesting, as he's been dealing with a nasty stomach virus. But the Rangers put him DL for shoulder 'fatigue', which is something that might not just go away like a virus. The news kept getting worse.
Good news, then, as the MRI for Holland came back clean:
Tests on shoulder of Derek Holland are normal, with no structural damage. Some lack of strength related to stomach virus.

The virus completely wiped Holland out, causing him to lose over 15 pounds. He'll spend his time on the DL gaining weight and strength, and not worrying about how to fix a broken shoulder.
Alexei Ogando is scheduled to take Holland's place in the rotation for now, with his first start coming against the San Francisco Giants over the weekend.
