Then, with just a few hours remaining until the non-waivers trade deadline, the Cubs traded Ryan Dempster to the Dodgers.

According to at least one report, the Cubs are holding out for hot pitching prospect Allen Webster, and to this point the Dodgers haven't been willing to include him in a deal. You can't really blame either team, as Webster's only 22 and throws an easy low- to mid-90s fastball. On the other hand, he's now pitched 186 innings in Class AA and sports a 4.46 ERA at that level. So he's hardly a sure thing.
