Not long ago, Brian Roberts came off the disabled list and made his 2012 debut with the surprising Baltimore Orioles. Less long ago, Brian Roberts returned to the disabled list with what was being termed a groin strain. Nothing major, just a groin strain! But then there was this:
Brian Roberts getting an MRA to see whether his injury is right hip related. #Orioles aren't certain if its just a groin strain.

And now there is this:
Buck just told reporters in anaheim Brian Roberts has tear in right hipGetting 2nd opinion. #orioles.

We don't know about the severity of Roberts' hip tear, but we should soon, and this is more significant than a strained groin. It's just another setback for a talented but injury-prone second baseman, and Robert Andino will hold down the fort until Roberts can get back, if that ever happens, and if that ever lasts. In Roberts' last full, healthy season, he slammed 56 doubles and stole 30 bases. That was in 2009, when he was 31. This is just depressing.

Brian Roberts is off to the disabled list again, although this time for a groin strain, instead of anything having to do with a concussion.
