The Miami Marlins got some more bad news on Sunday. Hanley Ramirez needed to leave the game against the Cardinals due to a finger laceration.
The Miami Marlins are having a pretty bad weekend. First, Giancarlo Stanton needs to have knee surgery and is forced to miss the All-Star Game. Then, the Marlins find out they won't have a representative in said All-Star Game. Now, starting third baseman Hanley Ramirez has injured his finger.
According to ESPN.com, Ramirez needed to leave Sunday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals in the fifth inning due to a laceration on a finger on his right hand. Ramirez had been 0-for-10 in the series when he departed.
After the game, it was reported that Ramirez injured his hand punching a fan.
One would imagine that this weekend wasn't how the Marlins wanted to head into the All-Star break.
