Red Sox Need New Players

In the wake of Jeff Passan's exposé about the Red Sox, the Globe's Peter Abraham acknowledges that Bobby Valentine has been less than perfect, but Abraham reserves most of his opprobrium for the players. Here's just one tiny example:

Somehow — and this is the crux of the matter — the Red Sox went from being a franchise of grind-it-out, hard-nosed players to being entitled, selfish and unlikable.

It's worth reading the whole thing. You know most of the players will.
