Three weeks ago, Blue Jays slugger Jose Bautista hurt his wrist while taking an awkward swing at Yankee Stadium. It wasn’t known at the time how long he’d be out, but things aren’t looking too positive after this report:
Jose Bautista will have another MRI on his injured left wrist to determine the cause of some lingering pain in the area, and the results will help determine a course of action for the Toronto Blue Jays slugger.
Manager John Farrell said as of Tuesday afternoon no appointment was yet scheduled with hand specialist who’s been treating the right-fielder, Dr. Douglas Carlin, although one was expected in the next day or two with his practice in the area.
The Sportsnet article also says Bautista hasn’t picked up a bat since last Wednesday, when the Jays were in Seattle; he had some discomfort while taking some swings then, so he’ll continue to be shut down.
