How Baseball Works

With two outs and runners on second and third, Ryan Zimmerman knocked down a chopper. His only play was to tag the runner going toward third. But did the runner score before the tag was made? Let's discuss.

Do you know who the hell I am? I'm Donnie Baseball.

Did you see it? Yeah, yeah. I mean, I didn't see it see it. But I saw it. You know, well enough. Like I saw it, and I'm pretty sure. I mean, kind of.

No, don't even give me that. There were four umpires looking at this, and we all saw the same thing.

I, Matt Kemp, shall jog toward home plate because the ball was hit to the third baseman, who surely made some sort of out, and ... wait, what?

Final score: Dodgers 7, Nationals 6.
