Homer Bailey's no-hitter in pictures

Homer Bailey threw the 16th no-hitter in Reds' history on Friday night, blanking the Pirates 1-0. Take a look at the feat in picture form.

Cincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey made history on Friday night, tossing the 16th no-hitter in team history in a 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park.

It was the teams' first no-no since Tom Browning threw a perfect game against the Los Angeles Dodgers back in 1988, and it was the first time the Pirates have been no-hit since Bob Gibson of the St. Louis Cardinals blanked them in Aug. 1971.

The playoff-bound Reds celebrated while the Pirates, who had seemed destined for playoff contention early in the season, came to the realization that they now face their 20th straight year with a record of .500 or worse.
