Yes, it's actually called a "Giant Postcard," but since it's of the Braves and not the Giants, I'm calling it a big-ass postcard. Standard postcards in those days were 5 ½" by 3 ½". This one is 9" by 6". Looking at it, I sure wish someone had published a big-ass postcard for every team every season.
The Braves of the ‘50s were loaded with talent (this is the ‘56 team). Between 1953 and 1960, they would finish third once, second five times and first twice and beat the Yankees for the World Title in 1957. Check the photo guide on the back to find such luminaries as Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, Warren Spahn, Lew Burdette, and Joe Adcock and such curiosities as Ed Charles, Chuck Tanner, Frank Torre, and Ernie Johnson.
