Image manipulation software was still on the drawing board in the 1880s, so those looking to have a little fun with the presidential candidates of 1888 were forced to resort to cutting and pasting photos. There are a number of cards in the W. Duke, Sons & Co. presidential series featuring Republican candidates Benjamin Harrison and Levi Morton and Democrats Grover Cleveland and Allen Thurman; all in various baseball poses. This card features Harrison, the election's winner.
