With the World Baseball Classic wrapping up earlier this evening, let's take one more look at international baseball before moving on with the rest of spring training and the regular season. If you're like me, you probably assumed that baseball didn't really start to take hold in Europe until fairly recently. Well, if you're like me, you'd be wrong. Here's a postcard from 1952 advertising a game in Rome between Italy and Spain. By this time, the Italian Baseball League was already four years old and baseball was growing in popularity in Spain.
